We are puzzle-solvers, finding solutions for our clients through creative design, hard work, and sometimes outside-the-box thinking. In all our efforts, we strive to do right thing for our clients by designing for function and efficiency, meeting deadlines, and designing within budgets.
HISTORY
we began in
November 2006
Vice-President Rico Harris has been practicing architecture in Arkansas since 1991. Holding a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Louisiana Tech University School of Architecture, Harris worked as a carpenter, roofer, concrete finisher, and laborer while completing architectural training.
President Atira Harris has a lifetime of experience in business management and business ownership. She has been involved in building design and construction since 2004. She oversees the day to day operations of the firm, implementing the company’s policies and procedures. She is responsible for hiring, vision-casting, goal-setting, and growth. When she envisioned the company in 2006, it was one of welcoming, where clients could feel at home, and their needs would be the top priority.
She enjoys designing, incorporating unique ideas while always focusing on the client’s budget. She puts the client’s needs first holding them in her heart, while working with husband Rico to make their client’s dreams come true!
She graduated from Quapaw Technical School with a certification in Early Childhood & Special Education, and became qualified as a Certified Day Care / Pre-school Center Provider from National Park Community College. She managed her family’s business, Lockwood’s Men’s Store, prior to launching Harris Architecture.
OUR TEAM
All members of the Harris team have backgrounds in construction, in customer service, or both. We believe this is an advantage to our clients, as we design their projects for function, efficiency, and practicality.
Monica Lockwood Mannis
OFFICE MANAGER
Monica is always helping and fostering communities of people, and has a love for children, and all of God’s creatures. She is fond of taking an occasional trip downtown memory lane as she has her own experience in co-owning and managing a family business, Lockwood’s Men’s Store, with her husband Dwayne Mannis, for 25 years where the customer always came first. Getting to play a part in this family business with my daughter and son-in-law she says, “Has been a big blessing.”
Carlos A. Gonzalez

Carlos graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Landscape Architecture.
Alexander Gan
ASSOCIATE
Alexander graduated with a Bachelor of Arts: Architecture from the University of California Berkeley.
Esteban A. Romero
ASSOCIATE
Esteban began architectural training at the University of San Francisco de Quito, and graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Arts and a Minor in Finance.
Denver T. Boroughs
ASSOCIATE
Denver graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a member the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
